                  My hearing aid whistles all the time

Is the mold or the shell of the aid correctly positioned in the ear?

• If the mold or dome is incorrectly placed in the ear, sound will escape from the ear canal causing feedback or whistling.

Has wax built up in the ear canal causing the sound of the aid to reflect back on itself?

• Get your GP or specialist to check your ear canal and have the wax removed.

Is the right hearing aid in the left ear or vice versa?

Is the volume control turned up too loud?

Is the aid broken? If it is, we may need to send it for repair.
